Overview:
Statistics is designed to introduce students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. This course serves as a 4th year mathematics credit and it is aligned with the Statewide Dual Credit Probability and Statistics Course Learning Objectives. Schools intending to offer this course for SDC credit should follow the Statewide Dual Credit Guidelines Statewide Dual Credit (tn.gov) Research shows that these Eight Effective Teaching Practices can help students understand these concepts at a deep level. These practices are further outlined in the teaching cycle described below. |
